Clinton Shopper’s Stroll

Clinton Shopper’s Stroll

Me:”Liam, want to go sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what you would like for Christmas?”

Liam : “What? No way.”

That’s his new thing… “What?” to everything I say.

After a long day of shopping and decorating Friday , we bundled the kids up and headed into Clinton for their annual Shopper’s Stroll and Tree Lighting.

This was an even that I always wanted to attend back when I lived in the area but I always found myself working the busy Thanksgiving weekend.

The entire local chamber of commerce gets involved in decorating their store fronts and keeping their local shops open late while they give out free hot chocolate and popcorn to passers by.

Christmas carolers, Father Christmas, and even the Mayor reads “T’was The Night Before Christmas” which I learned was first published in a newspaper 195 years ago.

Excellent start to the Christmas Season.

I was near the end of 2016 when I realized that my life was totally out of balance. I was 30 and I was working my life away. I did not have strong relationships with my wife, family, or friends. It was around this time that I came across THE HAPPINESS PROJECT by Gretchen Rubin. It was then that I decided to launch my own year long project towards personal happiness for the entire year of 2017.
